Julie Bobitt, PhD is the director of the Interdisciplinary Health Sciences program at the College of Applied Health Sciences. She completed her PhD at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with the dissertation topic of Factors Impacting the Implementation of Evidence-Based Wellness Programs in Illinois Senior Centers. Dr. Bobitt participated in the Health and Aging Policy Fellowship program in 2015-2016 where she served in the Office of the Surgeon General. Her research is focused the dissemination and implementation of policies and programs to enhance quality of life for older adults.  Her previous work focused on state outreach, and legislative efforts related to older adult mental health and mental health policies, through the University of Iowa Center on Aging.
